CONRAD Hilton has launched an extraordinary courtroom rant as he appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom on charges of car theft and violating a restraining order.
The brother of Paris Hilton and great grandson of the hotel baron of the same name, Conrad was arrested on the weekend for allegedly trying to break into his ex-girlfriend’s house.
During his arraignment on Thursday, a furious Conrad Hilton who did not enter a plea, blew up in the courtroom shouting: “so f***ing gay”, according to TMZ.
Hilton was released on US$90,000 bail (A$122,000) but with a number of conditions.
One of those was that he could only be released into the custody of his father Rick Hilton. Another was that he agree to visit a hospital where his condition could be adequately assessed.
Hilton will attend the Menninger Hospital in Houston.
According to TMZ, when the judge asked Hilton if he would comply with the court’s order, the troubled 28-year-old apparently said: “I am sorry to the court and the entire state for disrespecting the court. I am not obsessed with hookers and I’m sorry.”

Hilton was represented by Robert Shapiro whose clients have included OJ Simpson and Phil Spector.
Under Shapiro’s instruction, Hilton declined to enter a plea at the hearing in the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Centre in Los Angeles.
Hilton, of LA, is charged with taking a car, two counts of disobeying a domestic relations restraining order and one of contempt of court.
If convicted, he faces four years in jail, prosecutors say.
He has previously served two months in jail for using cocaine while on probation for threatening British Airways flight attendants.
He will return to the court on June 29.
