THE Paris robbery changed everything for Kim Kardashian, who has described the ordeal as ‘life changing’.
“I would never wish this experience upon anyone, but have learned some valuable lessons & feel so blessed to be safe home with my babies & husband,” Kardashian wrote on Instagram, under a photo of her, her sisters Kourtney and Khloe, and mother Kris Jenner.
It comes as an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians is due to air today addressing the crime, in which Kardashian was tied up, held at gunpoint and robbed of more than $14 million worth of jewels.
The image was captioned, “This was our last family photo taken in Paris”. “Tonight’s episode is going to be very tough for me,” Kardashian wrote.
“However, I thought it was important to share this story through my eyes & not in an interview where my own words could be twisted,” she said.
“I have always shared so much & I’m not going to hold back when this was probably one of the most life changing experiences for me.”
In a teaser for the episode of the family’s E! reality series, Kris Jenner said it had been “emotionally scarring”.
“It’s been the most devastating thing to have one of your children fear for their life, thinking at any moment they were going to die when they have two small children,” the Kardashian matriarch said.
“For the rest of us, the thought of losing Kim is emotionally scarring and hard to overcome … That’s it, I can’t talk about it anymore.”
And in a preview of the episode, Kardashian revealed the horror of that night in Paris.
“I’m calling to them, like, ‘Hello? Hello?’ And there’s no answer. And then at that moment when there wasn’t an answer, my heart started to get really tense,” Kardashian said, in the preview for Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
“Like, you know (when) your stomach just kind of knots up and you’re like, ‘OK, what’s going on?’ I knew something wasn’t quite right,” she said, according to Daily Mail.
“(I saw) two guys holding another guy down, in police uniforms, right outside of my bedroom, five feet away … The guy came in and grabbed the phone from me, threw me on the bed, and I was like, ‘This is it.’
“I couldn’t understand them, they couldn’t understand me. What I’ve heard from talking to (the concierge) afterwards is they said, ‘Where is the rapper’s wife? Let us up to her room.’”
