Miranda Kerr stuns on the red carpet at the 2017 Met Gala.

Kerr and her son Flynn were not home during the incident.

THE Australian man accused of breaking into supermodel Miranda Kerr’s Malibu home and slashing a security guard’s face with a knife remains mentally incompetent to stand trial.

Shaun Anthony Haywood, a powerfully-built former professional boxer who also goes by the name Esra, is locked up in downtown Los Angeles’ Twin Towers jail complex.

He did not appear in LA Superior Court on Wednesday when his case was called.

Judge Alan Schneider told the court Haywood, ruled mentally incompetent at an earlier hearing, was still not ready for proceedings to continue.

He adjourned the case to September 14 for a status report.

Haywood, 29, from the NSW Central Coast, previously entered not guilty pleas to three charges: attempted wilful, deliberate and premeditated murder; aggravated mayhem; and assault with a deadly weapon, a knife.

Haywood allegedly broke into Kerr’s Malibu property on October 14 in an attempt to deliver her a letter.

When confronted by the security guard the defendant grabbed the guard’s knife and slashed his face, prosecutors alleged.

The guard allegedly shot Haywood.

Kerr and her young son were not home during the incident.
