The press tour for “Spider-Man: Homecoming” — out Wednesday — is already well underway, and it’s afforded style icon Zendaya plenty of red carpet time to showcase her excellent taste (and cheekbones). But it’s also given rise to a new up-and-coming style star who is quickly carving out a name for herself in the fashion realm. Laura Harrier, who plays Spidey’s live interest Liz in the film, is weaving quite a fashionable web. (Heh, sorry.) Sure, it helps that she’s insanely pretty and can probably pull off just about any item of clothing thrown her way, but Harrier has been routinely killing it with her sartorial choices, a feat she’s accomplishing with the help of stylist Danielle Nachmani.
Take, for example, Harrier’s head-to-toe Rosie Assoulin look for the CFDA Awards. Not only did it make white feel genuinely fresh for summer, but Harrier also wore flower pot earrings (also designed by Assoulin), complete with actual flowers in them. That’s someone who is having fun with fashion.
(Also, what highlighter is this? Please advise ASAP, Daniel Martin.)
As Harrier has made subsequent public appearances at various “Spider-Man” press events, she’s continued to step up her game with each and every look. There was this rosy pink cut-out Prabal Gurung ensemble:
Then came this crisp Louis Vuitton look:
In addition to monochromatic separates, Harrier is also adept when it comes to flouncy dresses and florals, as demonstrated with this breezy Isabel Marant look:
But truly, tailored separates are where she seems to have found her sweet spot. Case in point, this Brock Collection look she wore on Monday:
It seems that Harrier is gaining attention outside the world of fashion, too. Just this week, it was announced that she had been cast in the HBO “Fahrenheit 451” project, in which she will appear alongside Michael B. Jordan. (Writer’s note: That is one good-looking duo.) Oo one thing is certain: We’re bound to see more of Laura Harrier — and her spot-on fashions — in the future.
